Shelling Pea. Hurst’s Green Shaft

This is an old and now rare English variety, noted for its very long pods with up to 9 peas. It is well worth growing for its quality peas with excellent flavour.

The plants need some support.  Semi dwarf to 50 cm. In my experience they are hardy and disease free.
